Now if you have a flat battery and can’t open a device, you may not\u00a0be allowed to take\u00a0it\u00a0on board with you.<\/p>\n
This is what Malcolm Rifkind, chairman of the UK parliament’s intelligence and security committee (that is the body that provides a parliamentary rubber stamp for massive state-organised surveillance), had to say:<\/p>\n

And he warned of the dangers of ‘complacency’ among the public in the face of the failure of the terrorists to mount any successful mass casualty attack in the UK since the 7\/7 bombings in London in 2005.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
So there you have it. More stringent checks if we have terror attacks, and more stringent checks if we don’t have terror attacks.<\/p>\n
